The Second Happy Homes Forum for Young Couples Education
Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development organized the Second Happy Homes Forum for Young Couples Education, as part of its commitment to promoting family awareness and contributing to building stable and cohesive families. The Forum sought to provide young people preparing for marriage and young couples with the knowledge and experience needed to build a married life based on affection, compassion, mutual understanding, and respect.
The Forum was organized as part of the Association’s efforts to address issues related to married life and the family, while providing a space for dialogue, education, and learning from specialized expertise and real-life experiences. It aimed to help participants better understand the nature of the relationship between spouses and approach the various challenges that families may face during the early stages of married life with greater awareness.
The Forum featured a variety of educational topics and sessions. The religious dimension was addressed through a lecture entitled “He and She in the Light of Islamic Teachings,” delivered by Dr. Issam Abu Sneineh, while the social dimension was addressed through a lecture entitled “Building Bridges Between Adam and Eve,” delivered by Dr. Taleb Edkeidek. The lectures addressed a number of issues related to marital relationships and highlighted the importance of building a family founded on awareness, mutual understanding, and shared responsibility.
The Forum also included a marital experience entitled “Life and Work Partners,” presented by Ammar and Safaa Al-Zaatari. The session gave participants an opportunity to learn from a real-life marital experience and highlighted the importance of partnership, cooperation, and mutual understanding between spouses in different aspects of family life.

At the end of the day, the recommendations were presented and certificates were distributed to the participants, followed by lunch. Thus, the second day concluded a comprehensive program that brought together knowledge, awareness, and interaction while addressing various aspects of married life.
The second day complemented the Forum’s overall mission of providing an integrated perspective on married life, bringing together health, psychological, social, and financial dimensions. This approach contributes to preparing young couples, enhancing their awareness, and helping them build more stable, understanding, and happy families.
The Forum’s program also included a number of opening and educational activities, including Quran recitation, the national anthem, and welcoming remarks, in addition to lectures, discussions, and personal experiences addressing various aspects of married life. These activities made the Forum a space for learning, exchanging experiences, and engaging in discussions on issues of importance to young couples.
The Forum was held on Sunday and Monday, April 30 and May 1, 2017, at the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Conference Hall. It attracted broad participation, with 97 participants attending on the first day and 90 participants on the second day, while women accounted for approximately 80% of the participants.
The organization of this Forum reflects the importance of family education in supporting family stability and strengthening families’ ability to face challenges. It also reflects Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development’s belief that building a family begins with awareness, and that investing in the education and preparation of couples contributes to building more stable homes and a more cohesive society.
