The Ninth Khatwa Forum

The Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development organized the Ninth “Khatwa” Forum for University Major Selection, targeting secondary school students with the aim of helping them set their priorities, identify their abilities and interests, and broaden their horizons when choosing their university majors and future career paths.

The forum opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the Palestinian National Anthem, followed by a speech by the President of the Association, Ms. Suhair Hassouna, and remarks by Eng. Safaa Abu Khorsheeq, Mr. Rashad Abu Hmeid, and Dr. Israa Al-Salaymeh. The speakers emphasized the importance of raising students’ awareness and supporting them in making more informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.

The “Khatwa” Forum aims to provide students with an educational and awareness-oriented day through a series of talks and discussions addressing university major selection, self-awareness and personal abilities, the use of artificial intelligence tools, preparing for General Secondary Education results, as well as exploring success stories and vocational and technical education options.

The forum featured a number of sessions, including “Your Major, Tailored to You,” presented by Mr. Assem Al-Qawasmeh; “To Know Yourself Better… Let AI Help You,” presented by Dr. Wael Ahreiz; and “How Do I Prepare to Receive My General Secondary Education Results?”, presented by Ms. Iman Abu Sharkh. The program also included two “Success Story” sessions presented by Dr. Nabil Al-Husseini and Ms. Abeer Aqneibi, as well as “The Life of a Smurf (University Tips),” presented by Dr. Haya Obeidat. The sessions concluded with “Vocational and Technical Education,” presented by Mr. Sakher Al-Mahariq and entrepreneur Raya Al-Hashlamoun.

Through the “Khatwa” Forum, the Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development seeks to continue supporting secondary school students and providing opportunities that help them explore their options and make more informed decisions aligned with their abilities, aspirations, and the needs of their community.
