Fourth Small Hands Parenting Forum
The Fourth Small Hands Parenting Forum, organized by the Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development, was held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Hall of the University Graduates Association Building. The forum brought together a distinguished group of lecturers, educators, and enthusiastic participants.
The forum opened with a speech by the President of the Association, Ms. Suhair Hassouna, who welcomed the attendees and participants and praised their commitment to taking part in activities that support their journey toward raising their children in a sound and modern way.
She also introduced the Association’s latest summer camps planned for that year, including the Second Jerusalem Basil Summer Camp for Children, the youth camp “Yalla Ya Shabab,” and the Quranic Sports Camp, which targets boys. She also highlighted the Association’s youth camp in Turkey, its newest camp at the time, and announced the upcoming opening of the Happy Homes Activities Center.
During the forum, a variety of topics related to parenting and child development were addressed, including:
- How to Successfully Choose Food for Yourself and Your Child, presented by nutrition expert Mr. Thaer Abu Shamsieh.
- The Montessori Method, presented by Eng. Rawan Abu Arqoub.
- Spiritual Education, presented by Ms. Tamara Al-Saheb.
- Inspiring examples of children who memorized portions of the Holy Quran, presented by Sheikh Jihad Shabaneh.
- Educational Pins, a session addressing various parenting and educational issues, presented by Mr. Assem Al-Qawasmeh, Director of the Association’s Psychological and Family Counseling Center.
The forum concluded with a session titled “My Child and Sports,” presented by Ms. Nadine Al-Natsheh, followed by a short video by Ms. Abida Al-Azm on “The Transition from Childhood to Youth.”
The forum also featured a special segment in which students from the Happy Homes Quran Memorization Center participated by reciting verses from the Holy Quran and presenting a poem. In addition, the students of trainer Nadine delighted the audience with an impressive gymnastics performance.
At the end of the forum, certificates of participation were presented to the participants.
