Third Small Hands Parenting Forum – Closing Ceremony

Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development held the closing ceremony of the Third Small Hands Parenting Forum at the University Graduates Association Hall in Hebron. The ceremony was attended by Ms. Basma Al-Jaabari, Director of the Office of the Union of Charitable Associations in Hebron; former Association President Najwa Sultan; as well as the forum’s lecturers and participants.

The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the child Mohammad Saleh, one of the children participating in the Quran program at Happy Homes Association. This was followed by a welcoming address delivered by the Association President, Ms. Suhair Hassouna, who welcomed the guests, lecturers, and participants. She highlighted that the forum sessions were conducted in accordance with the health protocols announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 among participants. The sessions also included practical training through a variety of activities.

Mr. Asim Al-Qawasmi, Head of the Psychological and Family Counseling Center at Happy Homes Association, then spoke about the preparations leading up to the forum. He noted that the third edition was distinguished from previous editions by its larger number of participants and sessions. A total of nine sessions were held, with the participation of more than 90 mothers, fathers, and educators. He also provided an overview of the lectures and training sessions delivered throughout the forum, highlighting that the third edition stood out for the quality of its participation and the practical training provided, which equipped participants with valuable life skills in the field of parenting and contributed to raising an aware generation grounded in strong values and ethics.

The audience then enjoyed a performance by the talented young vocalist Fares Muammar Al-Qawasmi, who presented a devotional nasheed in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The forum’s lecturers were honored by the Association President, alongside members of the Board of Directors and distinguished guests attending the ceremony. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
